This course aims to guide students in approaching design innovation from the perspectives of lifestyle and human behavior. The course will lead students through practical field research, in-depth interviews, and questionnaire analysis to gain insights into contemporary and future lifestyle trends. Students will learn how to translate these insights into concrete design proposals, creating products, services, or experience systems that align with emerging lifestyles. The course culminates in a final project covering forward-looking lifestyle themes such as"Daily Digital Detox," "Urban Nomad Generation," and "Sustainable Shared Living." Through this course, we expect to cultivate students' acute social observation skills, solid user research abilities, and the practical capability to transform behavioral insights into innovative designs.

1. Lifestyle Research Exercise (20%): Conduct field research, interviews, or questionnaires targeting specific groups to produce a lifestyle insight report. 2. Midterm Concept Proposal (30%): Based on preliminary research results and behavioral design theories, propose an initial design concept and behavioral intervention strategy for a specific lifestyle. 3. Final Project Presentation (40%): Develop a complete "New Daily Life" design project (choose one of three themes: Daily Digital Detox, Urban Nomad Generation, Sustainable Shared Living), including a product/service prototype and an experience journey. 4. Reflection Report (10%): Watch videos related to new lifestyles/behavioral design during the last two weeks and write a 2-page A4 reflection report.
