進階英文寫作(一)

課程大綱

本課程旨在提昇學生撰寫結構完整段落和短文之能力, 並著重如何重寫、摘要、 轉述、 陳述、筆記、編排、起草、修改等相關技巧。 This course is expected to expand students’ writing capacity and experience by helping them to formulate, organize, and present ideas clearly in well-formed paragraphs and compositions. Students will learn about rewriting, outlining, paraphrasing, synthesizing, documenting, note-taking, writing the draft and editing their own work.

課程進度

Weeks 1–7: Unit 1 – Textual Analysis Developing analytical writing skills through close reading, interpretation, and critical analysis of texts, with emphasis on organization, evidence, and clear academic expression. Weeks 8–14: Unit 2 – Cultural Analysis Exploring cultural issues, perspectives, and representations through reading and writing. Students develop critical arguments by connecting texts with broader cultural and social contexts. Weeks 15–16: Writing Project and Showcase Integrating skills from both units to complete and present a final analytical writing project. Weeks 17–18: Flexible Learning Weeks – Reflection and Synthesis Reflecting on writing development, reviewing feedback and revisions, and identifying strategies for continued growth as critical and independent writers.

評量方式

Your final grade will be based on the quality of your work in the following areas. Note: The grading scheme may be adjusted slightly based on the final set of assigned activities, assignments, and projects. Essay #1 – Textual Analysis: 15% Essay #2 – Cultural Analysis: 15% Exams: 35% Short Assignments, Peer Review, Attendance & Participation: 20% Project Showcase: 15% Total: 100%
