課程大綱

本課程提供學生及職前專業人士必備之英語文語言技巧，強調設計與人文專業領域之英文溝通能力之訓練。課程內容依學院專業內容區分並整合英語文之聽說讀寫之能力為未來全球化移動及以英語專業溝通人才培育為目標。 This course aims to provide pre-service design and cultural business students/professionals with the adequate skills of the English language and communicative competence to facilitate their current academic and future career pursuits. Students are encouraged to utilize their domain expertise to participate in professional communication in English. Centered on the training of professional use of the English language, the ESP curriculum as the crux of a highly-integrated work of domain knowledge and the English learning development embodies the indispensable credentials required for a global profession. ------- 本課程為針對機電學院學生設計之學術專業英文（ESAP）課程，旨在培養學生理解與表達工程專業概念、進行技術問題分析與解決，以及專業簡報與報告寫作所需的英語能力。 This course is categorized as an ESAP (English for Specific Academic Purposes) course tailored for students in the College of Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, aiming to develop essential English proficiency in engineering concepts, technical problem-solving, and professional presentations and report writing.

評量方式

Your final grade will be based on TWO main parts: 1. NTUT Campus-Wide English Proficiency Test: 20% of your final grade. 2. Course Evaluation: 80% of your final grade (calculated out of 100%): 2-1 Class Participation & Assignments 20% 2-2 Speaking Tasks & Assessment: 20% (3 In-class Tasks 10% + Week 17 Final 10%) 2-3 Writing Tasks & Assessment: 20% (3 In-class Tasks 10% + Week 18 Final 10%) 2-4 Midterm Exam 20% 2-5 Final Exam 20%
