課程大綱

This course equips English majors to design and critically evaluate AI-supported language-learning experiences. Using microlearning—short, focused learning experiences organized around a single measurable objective—as a common design framework, students develop the pedagogical, technological, and evaluative competencies needed to use generative AI responsibly and effectively in language education. Throughout the course, students apply principles of AI literacy, microlearning design, learner-centered pedagogy, instructional design, and teacher professional development to create AI-supported learning tools and materials. They gain experience with prompt-based learning activities, educational assistants, chatbots, AI agents, and feedback-oriented applications across platforms such as Mizou, Edcafe AI, Claude Skills, Dify, Coze, and Opal. By comparing and testing these tools, students learn to evaluate their pedagogical value, usability, reliability, adaptability, and appropriateness for specific learning objectives and contexts.
