課程大綱
本課程之目標為增進研究生之英文閱讀能力與寫作技巧，介紹英文科技論文的慣用語法、用字與閱讀技巧及分析撰寫英文報告與學術論文之章法與組織要領。 The object of this course is to improve reading ability and writing skill for graduate students. This course introduces grammar, terms and phrases that are frequently used in English technical articles. Structures of English essay and thesis will also be explained.

W1~4 Training in Scientific English Writing and Editing(科技英文撰寫與編修訓練) W5~7 Structure of Scientific Papers(科技論文架構與撰寫要領) W8~9 Utilization of Library Resources: Scopus & WOS Journal Database Searches, SciVal Research Assessment Analysis System (圖書館資源利用 Scopus & WOS 期刊資料庫查詢，SciVal研究評估分析系統) W10 Key Points for Journal paper Submission: Collection and Sharing of Author Instructions from Major Journals in the Field, Journal Manuscript Practice (Following Journal Formats), Writing a Cover Letter期刊論文投稿要點，領域重要期刊author instruction蒐集分享、期刊manuscript實作練習(依期刊格式)、撰寫Cover letter W11-12 Professional Paper Editing (專業論文潤稿): Dr. Wallace team lectures W13~16 Practical Exercises and Sharing in Scientific Paper Writing (科技論文實作練習與分享): 論文標題訂定、撰寫Abstract、Introduction、Methods、Results、Discussion、Conclusions、Recommendations for Future Studies、Reference
